"First Descendants" is similar to "Destiny 2", causing controversy over icons and weapon designs

First Descendants, a free-to-play Nexon shooter, launched on July 2, peaking at 260,000 on Steam and quickly becoming one of the most popular games of 2024. However, some players have pointed out that some of the game's icons and weapon designs are strikingly similar to those of Destiny 2.

"Forbes" author Paul Tassi collected a series of icons from "First Descent" and compared them with similar icons from "Destiny 2" and found that the two are very similar in shape and design style. For example:

Not only the icons, but also some of the weapon designs in the two works are very similar. For example, "Different Dream" in "First Descent" and the IKELOS series in "Destiny 2":

Although "First Descent" doesn't directly use any of Destiny 2's designs, its inspiration is obvious. If more evidence emerges, "First Descent" is likely to be revised accordingly.
